Enhanced Retention and Synergistic Plugging Effect of Multi-Complexed Gel on Water-Swellable Rubber

For the management of fractured large pores in high-water-bearing reservoirs, general approach is to use transfer dissection and sealing. Conventional regulators have a limited regulating radius can only produce blocking near-well zone, which not ideal. Deep technology expand action substantially improve effect. The existing deep-dissection agent system has problems such as high cost poor effect, affect its large-scale application. In this paper, address these problems, gel-type modifier cross-linking was synthesized optimized laboratory using low-concentration polymer, factors affecting final gel formation effect were experimentally studied. polymer concentration chosen be 1500 mg/L~3000 mg/L, poly-crossing ratio 30:1, pH controlled at 7–9, temperature 30–60 °C; rubber formed with good shear resistance thermal stability, had adaptability high-mineralization environment. optimal injection water-expanded particles for confirmed 3000 mg/L. Cryo-electron microscopy used observe morphology adhesion nucleated gel, clarify mechanism enhanced retention sealing by multiple complex system, finally verify performance composite determine indoor simulation experiments two-dimensional flat plate model. This study great significance efficient development late reservoirs further improvement crude oil recovery.
